Greg Krause started his aviation career at the age of 16 with the Bradley Flying Association and received his private pilot certificate. He attended Spartan school of Aeronautics and obtained a Diploma as a power plant technician. In 1984 Greg went to Southern Illinois University and graduated with a B.S. in Aviation Management. After a number of years in the United States Army, Greg moved back to Illinois to continue his aviation dreams, and obtained his commercial and flight instructors certificates (CFI, CFII, and MEI). Greg started at Byerly Aviation in 2003 as a line technician and then transitioned into the flight department in 2004. In 2007 Greg moved to South Dakota to take a job as a charter pilot/check airmen at Capital City Air Carriers. In 2011 he came back to Byerly flight department and since then has received his ATP certificate and became the Director of Flight Operations.
